In early 2025, the LEGO Marvel theme introduced the Bust Collection. This began with mini character busts inspired by Iron Man’s MK4 suit and Spider-Man’s Iron variant. The third character in the Marvel Bust Collection will take a trip to Sony’s side of the Marvel universe with the Venom Bust. Inspired by the alien symbiote which attaches itself to Eddie Brock, the set also includes a new Venom minifigures. Here’s a look at the new set, which will be released in July.

Just like all of the other Bust Collection sets, the bust is mounted on a small black plinth, similar in style to some of the other displayable sets. This can either be constructed to include a space for the minifigure to be displayed along with the printed display plaque or just the plaque. If you choose not to include the minifigure, then the display tile sits in front of the stand. Partway through the build, the instructions split to show how to build either version of the stand, but swapping between them only requires changing a couple of elements.
With the stand complete, the build moves onto Venom. The smaller scale of the set allows for both the head and top half of the torso to be included. This offers a more interesting-looking set than just a head. Venom’s monstrous form means the configuration of the set is slightly different from previous sets in the series. Firstly, to help capture Venom’s unique body, a mix of stickered and printed pieces is used, along with some long black rubber tubes, which are twisted around the shoulders of Venom.
The most impressive part of the bust is the head. Venom’s gruesome grin has been expertly recreated. Brick yellow pieces are used for his teeth, and emerging from between them is a long tongue. This may be a lot brighter than it appears in the film; in fact, it’s a completely different colour, but the change makes the set look great. You can remove the tongue as it’s only connected via a ball joint. But it looks odd without it.
There have been several Venom minifigures, but these have all been general takes on the popular character. This new version is directly inspired by the Sony films. Admittedly, the difference between past versions and this new one is minimal. But the new one is a little more evil-looking. It has a toothier grin, and it lacks the usual spider-like symbol on the torso in favour of a jagged vein-like pattern. The LEGO Marvel Venom Bust will be available from July 1st and can be pre-ordered today.
