Although none of SEGA’s iconic game consoles have been given the LEGO® treatment, one of its controllers has. The SEGA Genesis, or for some, the SEGA Mega Drive controller, has been recreated in this brand new set. This transforms the console’s classic controller into a buildable set. But it’s not just a brick-built replica of the controller, flip it over and you’ll be greeted with a microscale scene from Sonic the Hedgehog’s Green Hill Zone. Although we’ve been given advance access to the set’s release, it’s not entirely clear if this is a retail set, a GWP set or an Insiders Reward. Once further details have been confirmed, I’ll update this article.
Update 1: It’s definitely not a retail set, as the LEGO.com listing notes it’s a GWP set. No details on spend requirements, but it will be available once the Back to Hogwarts promotions conclude.
