LEGO Mario Kart – Spiny Shell Set Revealed

A new Mario Kart-themed set has been revealed today. Commonly known as the Blue Shell or ‘damn there goes my lead’, the Spiny Shell is a collectable weapon from the Mario Kart series. It first appeared in Mario Kart 64, and those who collected it could launch it at fellow racers, where it would home in on the race leader. This promotional set recreates the iconic projectile in a similar scale to the upcoming Mario & Standard Kart set. It has now been confirmed this will be available as an Insiders reward from May 15th and not a GWP set.
