Ahead of today, the Miami Grand Prix, 10 full-scale brick-built replicas of the F1 race team cars took to the track for the driver’s parade. Each of these big builds comprises of nearly 400,000 LEGO bricks, along with a selection of other components, including authentic Pirelli Soft Racing Tyres, to make them capable of driving. It took over 22,000 combined hours to develop and construct each of the big builds. These F1 LEGO big builds can reach 20km/h during their unveiling at the Miami Grand Prix Drivers’ Parade. Which isn’t bad considering each of these big builds weighs approximately 1,500kg, with 1,000kg of that being LEGO bricks. Racing History! The LEGO Group and Formula 1® welcome 10 fully drivable LEGO® cars with F1 drivers at the wheel for the FORMULA 1 MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025
In partnership with Formula 1® the LEGO Group has created 10 fully drivable big build LEGO® cars – one for each team – which were driven today by the Formula 1 drivers during the FORMULA 1 MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025 Drivers’ Parade.
Inspired by the LEGO® F1 Speed Champions range, each of these LEGO big builds comprises of nearly 400,000 bricks, weighing 1000kg and capable of reaching speeds of 20km/h.
Miami, USA – Sunday 4th May 2025 – Today, the LEGO Group and Formula 1 unveiled 10, fully drivable, LEGO big build F1 cars, representing every team on the grid, which were driven by the top drivers in the world during the FORMULA 1 MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025 Drivers’ Parade.
The builds were created to celebrate the two brands’ ongoing, multi-year partnership to create even more memorable moments for families at races in 2025 and beyond.
The unveiling marks a number of firsts for the LEGO Group, including the first time the company has produced multiple drivable big builds at the same time, as well as the first-time multiple Formula 1 drivers have got behind the wheel of LEGO cars at the same time.
These breathtaking feats of design and engineering were created by a skilled team of 26 designers, engineers and LEGO builders, over 22,000 hours, in the LEGO Group’s Kladno factory, located in the Czech Republic. At a near 1:1 in scale with Formula 1 cars, each big build comprises of nearly 400,000 LEGO bricks, weighing 1000kg and capable of reaching speeds of 20 km/h, all while capturing the intricate and unique details of a Formula 1 car, including everything from sponsor logos to authentic Pirelli Tyres.

Each of the LEGO big build designs were based on the LEGO F1 Speed Champions range unveiled late last year, with this unveiling at the FORMULA 1 MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025 marking the latest in a year of activations between the LEGO Group and Formula 1, aiming to bring families closer to the sport than ever before.
