The next wave of LEGO® Recruitment Bags are now appearing and thanks to places like Brick-a-brac, many of the new 2025 promotional LEGO sets are readily available. Commonly known as polybags among LEGO fans, they are now packaged in paper-based bags. Although they have always been officially referred to as Recruitment Bags. These minisets are inspired by various LEGO themes and offer little tasters of larger sets.
You can find a selection of the new LEGO polybags released this year from online retailer Brick-a-brac, they can also be found in supermarkets, discount retailers such as Lidl and B&M plus general retailers like Walmart and Target. For the latest wave of 2025 LEGO Recruitment Bags, here’s a look at the minisets inspired by LEGO Creator, Super Mario, Star Wars, Speed Champions, Spider-Man and Harry Potter.
30690: Easter Egg Chick Painting Fun
The Creator theme is often used to celebrate seasonal moments and the latest is Easter-themed. The set features a small chicken, which is a simple build but uses clip-adorned elements for both the beak and legs. The accompanying egg is a little less egg-shaped but the use of various curved elements gives it character.
30702: Toad (Pit Crew)
The latest wave of Super Mario sets are inspired by the Mario Kart series and this set ties into those sets. It features a buildable Toad character, kitted out in a pit crew outfit. Not a unique character but you can never have too many Toads. Asking with the character, the set also features a small workstation, which includes one of the unique tyres introduced for the buildable karts. The workstation also features an Action Tag, allowing the LEGO Interactive Figures to interact with Toad. This set was recently given away during the Mario Day promotions. 30706: Quidditch Lesson
The Harry Potter minisets continue to disappoint and this is the most minimal yet. It features a younger version of Harry Potter, which has appeared in several main sets. Along with the minifigure, the sets also feature a second minifigure, in the form of a stone statue. This looks odd due to the print detail on the torso but not the sloped base. The squared chest is nice and it contains a golden Snitch
30707: Venom’s Museum Robbery
Despite Sony’s Venom films being middling at best, the sassy Symbiote has infected several LEGO Marvel sets and characters including this miniset. This features Venom helping himself to some museum goods including a goblet, jewel and suit of armour. I quite like the ‘smashed’ display case. Spider-Man is on hand to stop Venom’s mischief and even has a camera, which isn’t a common feature for LEGO Spider-Man. The minifigure are not unique but it’s a cheap way to get them.
30708: Millennium Falcon
The Millennium Falcon has been featured in LEGO form on countless occasions. Han Solo’s ship has the honour of appearing in many different scales and this mini version is one of the smaller scale recreations of the iconic Star Wars ships. Despite the smaller scale, all of the ship’s features are present. It’s a great and unique version of the Millennium Falcon.
30709: Ferrari 499P – Hypercar
Speed Champions sets are known for their detailed recreations of well-known cars. The same concept has been used for smaller-scale cars in polybag/recruitment bags. However, the latest car to get the mini treatment is rather simplistic. This is mostly due to which car it’s based on. The Ferrari 499P Hypercar is an extremely streamlined vehicle that was created for endurance racing. Due to this, the LEGO version isn’t as impressive as the previous Speed Champions minisets. It’s also odd that the lone promotional Speed Champions set doesn’t connect to F1.
