It’s time for another look at how the LEGO® Fortnite sets compare to their in-game counterparts. Today it’s the turn of LEGO Fortnite’s adult-focused 18+ set, Peely Bone. One of the key components of Fortnite is the masses of characters it contains. There’s a healthy mix of original characters and ones from well-known franchises. Peely is an original character who was introduced to the game during Season 8. The anthropomorphic banana has since played a key part in different storylines and has received several variant styles. One of those styles is Peely Bone, which was first introduced during the Halloween-themed Fortnitemares event in 2019.
Peely Bone features the character as a part humanoid banana and part skeleton. This features Peely’s normal banana-like skin on his lefthand side and his partly exposed innards on the righthand side. The character has returned to the Fortnite Item Shop on several occasions and has even inspired a LEGO Style. But the set is inspired by the original Peely Bone character playable in the main Battle Royal mode. The skin is not a particularly spooky one, the reason the set is an 18+ one is purely to offer a highly detailed take on the character.
Along with the buildable model of Peely Bone, the set also features a trio of tools found in Fortnite. These include the Banana Bag Back Bling and the Peely Pick Pickaxe, both released in 2019. Peely Bone is also sporting a Painter Launcher, a non-lethal gun that fires paint and has appeared during various Limited Time Modes. The Paint Launcher might not be as iconic as other Fortnite weapons, but it fits the fun nature of Peely.
Peely is a popular character who has inspired an interesting LEGO build. The set could have just been the standard version of the character, but the split version of half banana, half skeleton is far more fun to build. Overall, the set does an impressive job of replicating the in-game character and three pieces of weaponry and tools.
