As a long-running theme, LEGO® Marvel has got to the point where it can experiment with the sort of sets it offers. This has seen simple playsets expand to include buildable props, brick-built characters, modular buildings and even wall art. One of the upcoming 2025 LEGO Marvel sets is a good example of this and is also one of the most anticipated new sets. Here’s a closer look at the somewhat awkwardly named MARVEL Logo & Minifigures set.

The House of Ideas has gone by many names in its long history, but for most of that time, it has been known as Marvel. The current iteration of the logo was first introduced in 2000. It’s been tweaked slightly, but the white letters in a red rectangle have remained constant. That logo inspired this set, but it also hides a few secrets within.
The set may seem like just a red box with the word Marvel on the front but inside it’s an elaborate mechanism and layering of elements which help with the exterior detail. As you build, you install a trio of levered arms. Two extend from the box’s sides and are connected to two more arms which pop out of the top. There’s also a central section which flips up to reveal another arm.
So in total, there are five arms which can emerge from inside the box. The top and side arms are activated by pressing a hidden button on top of the box. They are hidden beneath removable plates and with a little force the motion of extending them can ‘explode’ them off but I’ve found removing them first is a better option.
Each of those arms is a perch for five minifigures. The little platforms, on which the characters stand, have a handy feature. They have a hinged but with a 1×2 plate so you can connect a minifigure and fold up the platform so it also connects the back of the minifigure’s legs. Offer a secure connection for each of the characters. The minifigures can be stored within the logo bo,x but you will need to make sure their weapons are positioned correctly so they don’t catch when springing out from within the box
On the subject of minifigures, those included in the set represent the original Avengers. Well, most of them, for some reason Hawkeye is completely left out of the line-up. Having five sections that protrude from the logo is nicely balanced but at the cost of offering an incomplete team. Despite that, the other Avengers are all included a minifigures.
So no Hulk bigfig instead you get an olive green version as a standard minifigure. Thor’s torso shows him harnessing the power of thunder. Iron Man is wearing the Mark VI suit and Captain America is wearing one of the earlier versions of his outfit, which features grey arms and his torso is adorned with various straps. Black Widow’s minifigure hasn’t changed much over the years and the rest of the team are in their original costumes and represent the team nicely, apart from sidelining Hawkeye.
The logo is finished off by adding the lettering to create the word Marvel. As you build the shell of the surrounding box, you’ll add little connection points. These help in adding the 3D lettering. It’s a pretty impressive feat to create letters from LEGO bricks, but matching them to the style of an iconic logo is even more remarkable. I also like how the letters have a few exposed studs. These become a nice reminder that this is built from LEGO elements.
Although it provides an interesting build experience and a cool display piece, it’s not a cheap set. It’s certainly not one I say is attractive solely due to the minifigures, especially since it doesn’t assemble all of the Avengers. But it is a set which could appeal beyond the usual LEGO fans to those with a broader love of Marvel.
