It might not have been an exciting week but this weekend has more than made up for it with the second LEGO® CON event. Last year’s LEGO CON may have overpromised and underdelivered, but this year was the complete opposite. It was made clear before the show that it was aiming for a younger family audience yet it revealed a number of 18+ sets, new themes and the first look at a number of upcoming sets. The biggest news from LEGO CON was the first looks at two 90 Years of Play sets inspired by classic LEGO themes. They include the return of Classic Space with the Galaxy Explorer and Classic Castle with an all-new Lion Knights’ Castle. On the subject of 90th anniversary celebrations, another set inspired by classic LEGO themes is currently being given away free with various spend amounts. The Forst Hideout is the perfect companion to the new Castle set. So there’s plenty to catch up on below.
