The big news to drop this week was the release date for LEGO® Star Wars The Skywalker Saga. The long-delayed game will finally arrive in early April and it seems its development has been extremely troubled. Reports claim the studio suffered from poor management choices, difficult to use game engines and a mass exodus of staff. The same reports do suggest TT Games will continue to work solely on LEGO titles although this could change should The LEGO Group step in. We also got the official reveal of the LEGO Ideas Globe, this exciting new set transforms an ornate globe into a brick-built marvel. In a move that surprised no one, it was announced that the LEGO Group has officially pulled the plug on LEGO VIDIYO. The much-maligned theme has been slated but a vocal section of LEGO ‘fans’ with many suggesting the LEGO Group should ‘focus on the brick’ which is funny as VIDIYO offered some incredible new elements and I don’t remember anyone holding a gun to your head forcing you to use the app or even download it.
