AMEET Publishing is set to introduce a new format LEGO® book called Gear Up. These will be similar to past LEGO titles but in place of a Minifigure, there is a selection of LEGO accessories. There will be two titles released under the LEGO Gear Up banner – LEGO Batman and LEGO NINJAGO, with each book having weapons, tools and other knick-knacks. Inside the book will be the usual mix of puzzles, stories and activities all beautifully illustrated. Oddly, the Ninjago cover shows food items that are NOT included, while the Batman set has got a hotdog and bun that do not relate to the cover! And why does Batman need a katana given that he doesn’t use this or any other “offensive weapons”. Frankly, the whole concept of these books seems bizarre. I suspect these were conceived by somebody with no understanding of the subjects with only an eye on making money.
