Upcoming LEGO Releases Listed By Retailer

A German toy retailer called Wagners has added a number of new LEGO® listings to its website which could indicate a number of upcoming new LEGO set releases. Some of them have already been rumoured, with others suggesting the first details on possible releases. I don’t normally cover random rumours but as these have been listed by a retailer with previous form, it seems more likely, than not that these are upcoming sets. But as with all LEGO rumours, they remain that until confirmed by The LEGO Group.

LEGO For Adults

First up is more fuel to fire about the possibility of a LEGO for Adults set based on Transformers and the Autobot leader Optimus Prime. Listed as set 10302: Optimus Prime, the 18+ set will have a piece count of 1508. Another adult-focused set is listed as The Great Pyramid of Giza, with a 1476 piece count.

LEGO Avatar

LEGO Avatar sets were confirmed a few weeks ago by Disney and it seems there will be at least 4 sets based on the franchise. These include 560-piece, 572-piece, 887-piece and 1212-piece sets with one listed as a Banshee, the dragon-like creature ridden by the Na’vi.

LEGO Marvel

There are plenty of new LEGO Marvel sets on the way and the various listing seem to confirm a buildable Baby Groot figure, a new Iron Man Hall of Armour and most exciting, a large-scale 2708-piece version of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum. Plus there will be another Marvel Advent Calendar for Christmas 2022.

LEGO Speed Champions

Speed Champions appears to be moving beyond just licensed automotive brands to take further inspiration from the movies with listings for sets based on the Fast & Furious as well as the James Bond 007 franchise. They include Dom’s Dodge Charger and Bond’s iconic Aston Martin DB5. Both vehicles have previously been created in LEGO form but not in minifigure-scale.

LEGO NINJAGO

The next wave of LEGO NINJAGO sets will take inspiration from the next season of the animated show and will see a new villainous fraction introduced. Sets include 71759: Dragon Temple, 71768: Jay’s Golden Dragon Motorbike, 71769: Cole’s Dragon Racer, 71770: Zane’s Gold Dragon Jet, 71771: The Temple of the Crystal King, 71772: The Crystal King, 71773: Kai’s Gold Dragon Raider, 71774: Lloyd’s Ultra Gold Dragon and 71775: Nya’s Samurai X Mech.

LEGO Gaming

The LEGO Super Mario theme will continue with a 5th series of collectable characters and a 2807-piece 18+ set. Rumours have suggested this year’s large Nintendo set could be a buildable Bowser or a SNES console. Rumours from elsewhere also suggest there will be a LEGO Atari 2600 console released this year.

LEGO Star Wars

It seems future waves of LEGO Star Wars sets will take much of their inspiration from beyond the movies with sets based on Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi, Clone Wars and the Jedi: Fallen Order video game from EA. Sets include 75323: The Justifiers, 75332: 4+ AT-ST, 75333: Obi-Wan Spaceship, 75334: Obi-Wan Darth Vader, 75336: Spaceship from Kenobi, 75337 AT-TE, 75335: BD-1 and 75340 Star Wars Advent Calendar.

These listings certainly have more credibility to them compared to some random Instagram account and it’s worth noting the same retailer had a listing for the Horizon Tallneck before it was confirmed. These sets remain speculative until confirmed by the LEGO Group or their licensing partners. Via Brick Fanatics.
