This morning I headed off to London for an exclusive LEGO® Christmas event at the LEGO Store London. A number of current sets were on show across the store including a couple of the proper new releases which due next month. This included the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle. Which offered a much better look at the highly anticipated new microscale Hogwarts Castle. Although microscale, it’s one huge set and the level of detail it features is incredible. I’m not the biggest Potter fan, but the instant I saw this set in person, it’s now topped my most wanted list. It really is an outstanding LEGO set regardless of it being a part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The use of parts and the details they bring is ingenious.
Since it was revealed last week, LEGO fans and beyond have shown an immense admiration for Hogwarts Castle, with store staff telling me they have already had people enquiring about buy it. So it’s safe to assume when released on August 15th exclusively for VIP members there’s going to be a massive demand for it. Are you planning on picking on up?
I for one cannot wait to build the set, I don’t know where it’s going to be displayed, I don’t know where I’m going to build it, but what I do know is that it will become a stand out set in of my LEGO collection and more than a rival to the UCS Millennium Falcon in terms of build experience and as a display piece.
The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle set will be available exclusively in LEGO Stores and online at shop.LEGO.com from September 1st with early access to the set for LEGO VIP movers for August 15th. If you aren’t already, you can sign up to become a VIP member now and it’s totally free.
