LEGO® MASTERS Series 2 will be hitting TV screens later this year and there’s still time to enter for the chance to become LEGO MASTERS. If you and a building buddy have what it takes to make amazing LEGO constructions then get involved and get you applications in now. Who knows you could be flexing your build skills on Channel later this year. Everything you need to know about the process can be found below including links to applications for both under and over 18s. The first series was an amazing success and you could be part of that during LEGO MASTERS Series 2.
The Series
LEGO MASTERS is the competition series in which some of the UK’s most skilled brick fanatics do battle to be crowned the UK’s best amateur building pair. Following the success of the first series it’s being produced once again for Channel 4 by Tuesday’s Child Television. It is a competition format that will take place over a number of episodes and sees competitors take part in a number of challenges to test their LEGO-building capabilities. The winners will receive the glory of being crowned LEGO MASTERS.
The programme is a warm, friendly, family show that hopes to tap into the nation’s long-held love of LEGO bricks. If you would like to see series 1 then please follow this link: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/lego-masters
Filming
Auditions and filming will take place on various dates throughout 2018, most likely over weekends and school holidays. While dates may still change auditions are likely to be the end of February with filming over Easter, the two May bank holidays and additional weekends. Both filming and auditions are likely to be in the London area. While we are unable to cover any costs at the audition stage we will pay for competitors’ travel and accommodation if they are selected to take part. I’m afraid we can’t provide specific dates just yet but we will try our best to choose dates that work for most contestants. There is an availability question on the application form so please do fill this out with details of any holidays etc.
If selected for the series you will not need to supply any bricks. We will supply the bricks and elements needed for each challenge so that the competition is always fair.
Sometimes the challenges may offer you the opportunity to design in advance (if this is how you like to work). If this is the case, we will always factor in time for you to do this.
How to apply
The competition is open to people aged 9 and above and from all backgrounds living either in the UK or Ireland. Applicants must be aged 9 by the 31st of March 2018. To take part in this competition we are asking people to apply as a team of two. You can apply with a friend, sibling, parent/guardian, child or any other relative. There are two forms, one for those applying who are under the age of 18 (in which case a parent or guardian must complete the form on their behalf) and one for those aged 18+. We will need two forms per pair.

Over 18s: Click Here
If you don’t have a team mate to apply with then please do not rule yourself out of the competition. We would still like to hear from you so just let us know by emailing build@tuesdayschild.tv
In the application form, we ask you to tell us about what you like to build, how you build and what you love about LEGO. Please do fill these questions out with as much detail as possible! The more you can tell us about yourself in the application the better!
If you previously applied for the first series then please check the application form terms and conditions for whether or not you are eligible to apply again. Regrettably contestants who did make it through to the competition last time are not eligible. Please also read the T&Cs if you’ve any concerns of your status as either a professional or amateur builder.
By completing the application form, you are not automatically committing to take part in the programme. After you’ve submitted the form, you’ll be contacted by a friendly member of the team who will be able to provide more details about the show and what’s expected. You can then make the decision as to whether it’s right for you. The team will then be shortlisting applicants who will be invited to attend an audition day at the end of February.
If you have any other questions about the series or application process then please feel free to call Assistant Producer Tracey Smyth on 0203 761 4717 who will be happy to answer them.
