As we revealed back on Friday, the much discussed LEGO Newspaper Promotion is back, with a new publisher partnering with LEGO and Warner Bros. to offer readers a Free The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Kai Keychain with this weekends edition of the i newspaper. There are a couple of ways to get hold of the free LEGO – by purchasing the paper in-store or taking the voucher from the i newspaper to your local McColl’s, RS McColl’s or Martins newsagent, or by sending off for your free LEGO Keychain here. (the website is now live). Here you can get just the Keychain for £2.99 P&P or with a DK Books bumper pack which includes the Keychain, a mini book, stickers and activity book, this cost £4.49 P&P. So they aren’t technically free but the keychain has an RRP of £3.99 and the DK Books activity is exclusive to this offer. The Keychain may not be as exciting as a polybag, but is this proves a success hopefully they offer will be expanded in the future. The big concern is McColl’s involvement, during the last giveaway for The LEGO Batman Movie with The Times, hardly anyone managed to get their sets from a store, with many stores unaware of the offer, not receiving the LEGO or just getting a couple of sets to giveaway. Maybe the publishers of i will see sense and partner with WHSmith should the offer return.
