Leicester is home to many things – pork pies, Walkers Crisps, the Elephant Man, great sporting feats and it would seem it’s also a hotbed for LEGO® events. Tomorrow The Brickman Experience opens to the public, bring a unique LEGO experience to brick fans outside of Australia for the first time. I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at what the exhibition will offer. The Brickman Experience is a collection of work by Australia’s only certified professional builder, Ryan McNaught. This includes huge scenes like the Sydney Opera House and the Coliseum, which is being debuted in Leicester. Along with large-scale models like The LEGO Movie logo and epic X-wing. There are also impressive mosaics which takes up an entire wall. As you walk through the exhibition you’ll get to see these amazing brick-built creations up close. If the amazing LEGO models on display leave you inspired to get creative, then there are two areas where you can build and even a gift shop, offering various LEGO sets and books.
The Brickman Experience opens tomorrow Friday, March 13th and runs through until April 20th. From what I’ve been told by the press team, there are no plans to bring the exhibition to other areas of the UK (although Ryan as said differently on social media) so if you want to see it, then you’ll need to head to Leicester. You’ll find it on the upper section of the Highcross Shopping Centre, in Leicester City Centre. For those familiar with the Highcross, it’s in the newer section of the centre, just head towards John Lewis from the main entrance. Thanks to TEG | MJR for inviting BricksFanz along to the preview event and stay tuned for details on how you can win tickets to The Brickman Experience.
