Retired LEGO Ideas Sets Making An Unusual Return

LEGO® sets don’t last forever, and every single one eventually retires to a small cottage by the sea. Which is true for two popular LEGO Ideas sets, the Saturn V and the Ship in a Bottle. The Saturn was retired at the start of the year and the Ship in a Bottle heading back to sea as early as May 2019 in Europe. Well in a rather unusual move both previously retired sets are coming back but technically as new sets, since they will have different set numbers. Information is a little light, it’s unclear if there will be any changes to the sets or pricing, also why they need to have new set numbers. The LEGO Ideas Team has shared this:

The two sets are being re-launched due to popular demand, and as they had already left the market, we could not keep the original numbers.  The agreements with the Fan Designers remain unchanged.

Also: one of the new set numbers matches a fan designer’s birthday. They were both very involved in the process.
