Official LEGO Magnet Sets Review

ROOM Copenhagen have been creating various LEGO® branded homeware products for a while now, including the unique LEGO Originals Wooden Minifigure. They are probably best known for their range of storage containers and display cases. Last year they added funky LEGO Wall Hangers to their range. They were styled on classic LEGO elements, which just like their storage containers, looked just like the LEGO elements they were modelled on, but are a little bigger. ROOM have followed up they wall hangers, with a range of LEGO Magnet Sets. These are once again styled on iconic LEGO elements, but this time it’s time to jazz up the fridge. The LEGO Magnet Sets are available now, so here’s a closer look at them.

LEGO Magnet Sets Review

The LEGO Magnet Sets each feature two oversized versions of the classic 1×1 elements – the round stud and square plate. They are exactly the same as their smaller LEGO counterparts, with the LEGO imprint on the top of each element. They only difference their backs are flat and within the element is a magnet. This obviously allows them to connect to various metal surfaces. They are slightly smaller than the Wall Hangers were and this is this the first time a 1×1 plate element has appeared in this oversized state. They come in colour packs – Bright Blue, Bright Red, Yellow, Black and Grey

Overall

For whatever reason people seem to like oversized LEGO pieces and to be fair they are rather cool. Magnets are probably the least useful of products created in this style by ROOM Copenhagen, unless you have a wealth of school reports, drawings or shopping lists to connect to the fridge. They are certainly a fun way to share your love of LEGO via the medium of metal surfaces.
