NINJAGO TV Show Celebrates 9th Anniversary

On this day 9 years ago, the NINJAGO animated TV show began on US TV. Since then the show has go on to span 11 seasons, with a new one on the way. The show is based on the LEGO® theme of the same name, which was a ‘Big Bang’ theme launched in 2011. NINJAGO has gone on to be one of the most popular original IPs created by the LEGO Group, so popular that when the theme came to the natural end of its life, it was revived after a brief break. It’s since become an evergreen theme, with new sets released at various points each year. These are accompanied by new episodes of the TV show, this has changed a little over the last 9 years. After The LEGO NINJAGO Movie, the characters appearance was changed to match that of the movie versions, although they exist in different universes. Episode runtime has also been experimented with in recent years, with episodes getting shorter. The 12th season of the show will see the ninja transported into the digital realm of the classic arcade game Prime Empire. Until then take a moment to appreciate NINJAGO, a theme with such a dedicated fanbase, it continues to provide engaging adventures both on-screen and in LEGO sets.
