New York Toy Fair Day 1 LEGO News Round-up

The first day of the New York Toy Fair has given us the first official looks at a number of upcoming new LEGO® sets, including the special 40th anniversary series of LEGO Minifigures, the new BrickHeadz Go Brick Me set and closer look at some of the other upcoming new sets including Star Wars, Jurassic World, LEGO Boost and more. Check out some of the images below thanks to ZusammengebautBZPowerBrickJournalThe Brick Show and The Brothers Brick. Visit those sites for additional images.

LEGO Minifigures Series 18

Series 18 will include 17 characters, 16 main and 1 special Classic Policeman. Who will only appear in every full box of LEGO Minifigures once, making him a little rarer than the other characters. The whole series celebrates the 40th anniversary of LEGO Minifigures and introduces loads of new pieces. They will be available worldwide from April 1st.

LEGO Star Wars Kessel Run Millennium Falcon

The latest version of the Millennium Falcon looks a little different to past versions thanks to it’s original colour scheme and cargo pod being intact. Something further explored in this new image form the Toy Fair. With the front section removed the Falcon looks a little more like what we are used to. Could that front section be the cargo Han dropped at the first sign of Imperial forces and the route of his beef with Jabba?

LEGO Star Wars Yoda’s Hut

Some of the upcoming new LEGO Star Wars sets were on show the most interesting of which is Yoda’s Hut. Not only does it feature updated minifigures of Yoda, Luke and R2-D2, there is also a new element which allows you to pop Yoda on Luke’s back and recreate those scenes from Empire Strikes Back.

LEGO BrickHeadz Go Brick Me

LEEGO are going all out with BrickHeadz, after first launching with licensed sets based on Marvel, DC Comics and Diseny characters before introducing seasonal sets this year, you’ll soon be able to build yourself in BrickHeadz form. The set includes plenty of elements so you can make all sorts of wacky characters.

UniKitty! Sets and Collectables

The sets based on UniKitty! are still under wraps but LEGO has confirmed they will arrive in August. The theme will include both playsets and collectible characters, which will be a cross between LEGO Minifigures and Mixels.

Disney•Pixar Incredibles 2

As with UniKitty, no set images have come out of New York Toy Fair but details on the LEGO Juniors sets have. The new subtheme will include three sets.
