It was announced in January that the new Battersea Power Station Shopping Centre would be home to another London-based LEGO® store. Now work is underway to fit the store out and transform it into the latest LEGO store. As you can see from the hoarding around the store, it features a mini brick-built Power Station and a nod to Pink Floyd’s iconic pig balloon. If the store doesn’t feature a large brick-built pig or a reference to Another Brick in the Wall, then an opportunity has certainly been missed. Thanks to Robin for the images, the new store is set to open later this year.

The redevelopment of the old power station is breathtaking. And there are a number of prestige stores already open.
I’m really not sure how busy this satellite location will be considering Leicester Square is only six stops away on the Underground (northern line)?
But, the power station is certainly going to be a popular destination for those looking for a day out, or a certain brand of Swiss-made watch!
