In another surprise reveal, a new LEGO® Minions theme has been confirmed for 2020. This is the second new theme to be based on an upcoming animated movie, after the Dreamworks Trolls theme was revealed a few weeks ago. Like Troll’s, the Minions theme introduces a new IP partner in Illumination, who are behind the Despicable Me and rather interestingly an upcoming Super Mario movie. Could Nintendo be the next surprise IP partner? The Minions sets will be based on the upcoming sequel Minions: The Rise of Gru which hits cinemas in July 2020.
