The latest drop of LEGO® X Adidas Trainers has been confirmed for next week. This new collection features six different coloured trainers, each in classic LEGO colours and each also includes a LEGO bricks lace jewel plate. Oddly they are more expensive than the super limited edition ZX8000 trainers released last year. The ZX8000 Bricks Collection will be available from May 7th, they will available in adult and junior sizes from adidas.com/LEGO, CONFIRMED, and selected retailers.
adidas Originals and the LEGO Group Announce the ZX 8000 ‘Bricks’ Collection
April 29th, 2021: Having first come together during the landmark A-ZX series, this season adidas Originals and the LEGO Group present the ZX 8000 ‘Bricks’ collection. Bringing the globally renowned Danish brand’s signature aesthetics to one of adidas’ most iconic silhouettes, the collection marks the next stage in a partnership inspired by limitless creativity.
The bold footwear collection plays host to six sneakers, each made up in one of the primary LEGO® colours: Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Black, and Grey. Boasting a classic construction based on the original ZX 8000 material composition, each pair in the collaborative ‘Bricks’ offering features a mesh upper matched with synthetic suede overlays, a ghillie lacing system, and a TPU heel counter which playfully emulates the texture of LEGO bricks.
Accompanying the launch of the collection is a playful campaign which follows the journey of the ZX 8000 silhouette as it is constructed piece by piece by LEGO minifigure engineers. See the full video above.
