Masters Of LEGO Coming To Channel 4 This August

You may remember back in February TV production company Tuesday’s Child were looking for amateur LEGO® builders builders to part in a new LEGO-based TV series, that TV series now as a name. Masters of LEGO will see six pairs of LEGO fans pitted against each other to be crowned Britain’s best amateur LEGO builder. Each week the builders will be tasked with creating various builds from LEGO bricks, which will then be judged by some well-known faces from the world of LEGO. Think Bake-off but with LEGO bricks, Masters of LEGO will begin this August on Channel 4. This isn’t Channel 4’s first foray into the world of LEGO, over the past few years they have aired a number of LEGO documentaries including The Secret World of LEGO and LEGO Batman took over Channel 4 announcing duties ahead of the release The LEGO Batman Movie.

In a first on British TV, Six pairs of LEGO fans of all ages will go head-to-head in the ultimate battle of the brick. Their design and construction skills will be put to the test in a host of colourful and creative challenges. Each week, the teams whose builds wow the expert judges the most will head through to the next round until the grand finale, where one pair will be crowned Britain’s most talented amateur LEGO builders.

  1. i was part of this competition.. so so biased, and really wasnt based on building skill at all.. it was all about who looks good on tv..and who they can use to make some negative, but “funny” comments about.. but that is channel 4 all over to be honest..

we got through the first 2 rounds.. and we aren’t even that great builders.. some of our friends who are AMAZING builders didnt even get through.. yet others who had interesting, and overly elaborate back stories, seemed to sail through..
I dont know who won, or even who made it through to the last stages.. but im guessing its the pair of asian girls..who made out they’d “never used LEGO before”..hmmm.. really girls?

still, will be interesting to see how much of the early stages they use in the show 🙂

    • We are hearing things as well, which is a shame. As you say it will be interesting to see what appears on screen.

  2. Also, “Professionals” where also used, when the criteria stated that contestants should be amateurs.

One contestant had previously worked for one of the judges !
