LEGOLAND Windsor Share Reopening Plans

Merlin Entertainment has revealed reopening plans for LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. The park, along with other LEGOLAND attractions has been closed due to COVID-19. It’s now been revealed that the popular Windsor attraction will hopefully be open on July 4th. Obviously there will be numerous changes to how things will work at the park, which are detailed below. Will you be visiting LEGOLAND anytime soon or continue to stay away?

Preparing to reopen LEGOLAND Windsor

Karen Glassey, Operations Director, LEGOLAND Windsor – 2020 has certainly been a year like no other and from all of us at LEGOLAND Windsor we hope you and your family have kept well over the last few difficult weeks and months.

We can’t wait to welcome you back and we wanted to start to tell you about the new hygiene and safety measures that we have been working on since we closed in March.

As you’d expect, a day out or overnight stay at LEGOLAND Windsor will feel a little different to before but everything we are introducing is with your safety, and our team’s safety, as our top priority.

You’ll be used to a lot of the new measures, such as social distancing in queues and being encouraged to use cards rather than cash, as these have become the new normal when visiting supermarkets and other shops.

But in preparation for reopening we have reviewed how we operate every single part of the Park and Hotels to make sure that you have a brilliant, safe visit. Some things to expect include a pre-book ticket system to manage visitor numbers and different seating arrangements on rides.

In line with current Government guidance, we hope to be able to reopen on Saturday 4th July 2020. More details on our health and safety plans can be found below and please remember, this is just the first stage of updating you. Keep looking out over the next few weeks for a definite reopening date and more information about how to pre-book your tickets.

When LEGOLAND Windsor opens we know that we can count on you to work with us and make sure that everyone has a fun, safe day out. We can’t wait to see you soon!
