LEGO VP Matthew Ashton Spills Some LEGO Teases

The LEGO Group VP of Design and TV Star, Matthew Ashton has been answering fans questions on Instagram. Although no direct details of future LEGO® releases were given, he has dropped some teases. Firstly, when asked about his dream license for Minifigures would be, Matthew said that his dream license is actually set to appear next year. He also revealed a number of LEGO themes he’s overseeing next year for release in 2023, which has also confirmed some unexpected themes will continue for a while alongside some old favourites. Listed themes included City, Friends, Creator, Classic, Technic, NINJAGO, LEGO Minifigures Series and DOTS plus Speed Champions and Monkie Kid. Matthew has also offered a tease of his next LEGO set to be released. After Everyone is Awesome, Matthew’s second set 2021 will feature a new white 1×2 masonry brick. Many assume it would feature in Princess Peach’s Castle, whilst other rumours suggest it’s from a set based on the Netflix Queer Eye series. Whatever it will end up being, the set will be revealed this week according to Matthew.
