LEGO Star Wars Magazine Switches Publisher

The LEGO® Star Wars magazine has switched publishers. Until this year it was published by Egmont, with Immediate Media publishing every other LEGO magazine. This was despite all LEGO magazines in Europe being published by Immediate Media’s parent company, Blue Ocean. In the often confusing world of licensing, Egmont had the Star Wars license for kids magazines, hence why until now they published the LEGO Star Wars. As of 2020 all LEGO titles are now brought together under a single UK publisher.

What does this mean? Nothing much to be honest, the format of the magazine hasn’t changed much, but it does mean there will be a better connection across all LEGO magazines. It will also mean we may get some of the LEGO Star Wars specials and other spin-offs. It also means I can finally include the LEGO Star Wars magazine in my LEGO Magazines monthly round-ups.

It will be intersting to see what happens with the rumoured LEGO Disney Princesses magazine, as Egmont have the Disney Princess magazine license in the UK.. There are also due to publish a LEGO S.T.E.A.M. focused magazine later this year. The first Immediate Media published LEGO Star Wars magazine is available now and it includes a mini Snowspeeder, packet of LEGO Star Wars Trading Cards and Limited Edition 10 card.

  1. Hello,
I recently brought a LEGO star wars magazine (Issue 59) for my son and the Praetorian guard lego figure came with 2 bodies and no legs.

Please can you assist me in replacing this.

    Best wishes,
    Elly
