LEGO Retro Crossbody Bag Hands-on

A couple of months ago a range of new bags were added to LEGO.com and the most interesting of them was the LEGO® Retro Logo Crossbody bag. It was so interesting it soon sold out but it’s back in stock in the UK and Europe, it’s the perfect time to take a closer look at the bag.

Technically, it’s classed as a handbag, but it can be worn over your shoulder similar to a messenger bag. The strap is fully adjustable and offers a decent enough length option. The strap is nice and wide as well so it shouldn’t twist and feels comfortable. The buckle which allows you to adjust the strap is located nicely, so it won’t be digging into you when you wear the bag.

It’s not a super spacious bag, but you can still get a few things in it. It would easily carry a mobile phone along with a wallet/purse and a couple of other bits. It’s probably better suited as a bag you’d take on a day trip or use as a lunch bag. The interior of the bag features brick patterned lining and there’s a small zipped pocket in there as well.

The biggest draw of the bag is its appearance. It includes 7 embroidered patches of the various LEGO logos used by the LEGO Company between 1934 and 1958. They contrast nicely against the white colouring of the bag. This is also the bag’s biggest flaw, the white looks great but it will not stay that way and will easily show any dirt.

Most of the bag is made from water-resistant leather material. Along with the retro logos on one side, the other side included the current LEGO logo but as a print not an embroidered patch like the other logos. It’s not a cheap bag, in fact, it’s expensive for what it is but saying that, it’s well made.
