LEGO Originals Gallery & VIP Exclusive

Next week a very special LEGO® pop-up shop and art gallery is set to open in London. The LEGO Originals Gallery will be open November 1st and VIP should have already had their invites. At the gallery, you’ll get a chance to purchase an exclusive wooden collectible item and get a free LEGO Originals poster. I’ll have more details in the next few days but the LEGO Originals Wooden Collectible will cost £109.99 and will celebrate the heritage of the LEGO Group, who began making wooden toys. It will be revealed on November 1st at the LEGO Originals Gallery, in Convert Garden. The LEGO Originals line was initially launched as a set of VIP exclusive art prints.

  1. The emails to VIPs went out and within minutes the event was fully booked. That’s either very clever marketing or just playing into the hands of resellers?

    • Exactly the same here – was a bit annoying but assuming the venue is small so spaces are strictly limited.

If that is the case, then Lego should have set up a lottery instead of a first come, first served basis.

Or as you say, excellent marketing!

      • It’s a fairly good size, double fronted gallery, so not too small. The only issue I can see is there is hardly any pavement outside and it’s a busy cut through for vehicles!

I agree on the lottery idea. My own thoughts are simply the majority of buyers will be resellers as was the case for the recent release of the UCS set at the flagship Leicester Square store. The majority of the first 40 or so in the queue openly admitted they were reselling their sets!

  2. It does say in the invite that there is no +1 allowed, so is this strictly an adults-only event and children are not allowed?

    • I assume it’s adult only I know only those invited can attend.
