The Book

The book follows is in a similar format to the various other LEGO activity books which have been published by Ameet and their publishing partners, such as Centum in the UK. So the book is focused towards younger LEGO fans, with puzzles, comic strips and other things to do. All of these are nicely illustrated with LEGO pieces and Minifigures. You’ll find a few images of the Ninja in their new outfits, along with a few images of the other avatar characters set to appear in the upcoming TV series.

The Minifigure

The book also includes a Jay Minifigure, oddly although the book is based on the video game-inspired Prime Empire series, the version of Jay is actually from the Legacy sets. So although not exclusive, it’s the cheapest way to get this version of the character.

Overall

Although these sort of books aren’t that exciting for AFOLs, they are certainly a decent way to get Minifigures at a low cost. I do like the illustrations used in the book, they are infinitely better than just using stock images. Although I’m not sure why different eras of NINJAGO have been combined as they have, the book is based on the upcoming new series, yet the Minifigure is from the Rebooted Legacy sets and some of the artwork features a set from The LEGO NINJAGO Movie line. You’ll find the LEGO NINJAGO Ready, Players? book online from selected retailers and Amazon.
