LEGO Mags Get Awesome Sustainable Packaging

As we have already seen this week the LEGO Group is really committed to becoming a more sustainable company and packaging is a big focus of that. That also includes LEGO-branded products such as books, homeware and magazines. Previously, LEGO Magazines have featured cover-mounted LEGO minifigures and mini-sets in foil packets, These have recently been switched to paper bags. But there’s another title which uses a mixture of a plastic tray and cardboard back to hold the two LEGO NINJAGO Legacy minifigures.

Well, that packaging is no-more but its replacement is pretty amazing. The NINJAGO Legacy minifigures are now delivered in a pretty cool tin. The tin features an embossed design inspired by the characters included in the magazine. The parts to create the two minifigures are loose inside the tin, which can be opened by sliding the lid back. The change is not all good as the cover price appears to have been increased by £1 to £6.99. But the tin is pretty cool and I assume it will be used on future issues of the LEGO NINJAGO Legacy magazine. The first NINJAGO tin can be found on issue 24 of the LEGO NINJAGO Legacy magazine which is part of the LEGO Special range.
