LEGO® bricks are loved all over the world and they even have a place in the royal palaces of England. In the last few days the official Twitter account of Kensington Palace, home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, has shared a short LEGO-filled video in which Kate tips out a pile of LEGO bricks and builds the Danish flag. This is to promote Kate’s upcoming visit to Denmark to learn about the countries approach to early childhood learning. Something which the LEGO Group has played a small role in over the year. More importantly, the bricks tipped out aren’t just a box of LEGO Classic bricks, some aid has run to the shop to buy as there’s a Clone Trooper helmet in there and they are tipped from an official LEGO storage brick.
Looking forward to learning from experts, parents & practitioners about Denmark’s approach to early childhood later this month. Denmark is a beacon of best practice in its approach to the early years, with a culture which prioritises the best start in life.

But – there is also a 1960s/70s wheel block – for the old metal axle wheels; and a no-parking sign from a similar peiod! So there is some truly classic stuff in there!
