LEGO Hallmark 2022 Keepsakes Hands-on

For a number of years, Hallmark has been creating yearly Christmas ornaments called Keepsakes. These cover a whole host of interests and characters including the LEGO® brand. For the first time ever, the Hallmark Keepsakes are being officially sold in the UK. Currently, only three of the four LEGO-branded 2022 designs are available in the UK. Mine has been delivered so thought I’d take a closer look at them all.

The designs of the LEGO Hallmark Keepsakes are based on minifigures. This year’s characters include Harry Potter, the Classic Space blue astronaut and the Series 11 Collectible Minifigures Yeti. In terms of size, they are around double the scale of a standard minifigure. I must admit, I expected them to be a little bigger for some reason. Each Keepsake features a small loop hook in their heads so they can be hung on a Christmas tree, although you’ll need to add a hook or some thread.

Are they worth the price? – absolutely not, especially considering every other Keepsake on the Hallmark UK site is £7 whereas the LEGO ones are £12. But they do make nice little ornament and they will last a very long so will be adorning Christmas trees for a many years to come.

  1. My blue astronaut arrived today. Was it worth £12. Not really! It’s nice but not twelve quid nice!

    • You don’t even get the string to hang them up. For £12 I’d expect someone from Hallmark to come hang it on the tree for me. When the box arrived I thought they have only sent one of them, much smaller than I expected

      • Absolutely! When Mrs H opened the inner box I asked her what the cord looked like? She responded with “what cord?”

I’d happily pay £20 for all three. But, not £36!
