LEGO Group Pauses Overwatch 2 Set Release

A new LEGO® Overwatch set was due t be released on February 1st, however, the LEGO Group have decided to pause its release due to the ongoing issues at Activision Blizzard. The publisher has been in the headlines a lot lately due to the treatment of its staff and various studios. Therefore the set will no longer be released as planned, although this doesn’t;t mean it’s been cancelled completely. The LEGO Group have provided an official statement:

We are currently reviewing our partnership with Activision Blizzard, given concerns about the progress being made to address continuing allegations regarding workplace culture, especially the treatment of female colleagues and creating a diverse and inclusive environment. While we complete the review, we will pause the release of a LEGO Overwatch 2 product which was due to go on sale on February 1, 2022.
