LEGO Group Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Along with the announcement of the financial results for the first half of 2020, the LEGO Group has today announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer. Jesper Andersen will join the LEGO Group as both as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from October. Learn more below.

The LEGO Group appoints Jesper Andersen as Chief Financial Officer

BILLUND, September 2, 2020: The LEGO Group today announced the appointment of Jesper Andersen as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective October 1, 2020.

Andersen will lead the LEGO Group’s finance team which includes strategic financial planning and reporting, audit, tax, treasury as well as the company’s legal, compliance and risk management, strategy and transformation and business services teams. Andersen will report to the LEGO Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Niels B Christiansen and sit on the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

Andersen joins the LEGO Group from Upfield, a leading plant-based food company whose iconic brands include Flora and Becel, where he has been Chief Financial Officer since 2018. Prior to this he was Chief Financial Officer at Beiersdorf for three years. He began his career at Colgate-Palmolive where he spent more than 20 years as a finance executive, holding leadership roles in Europe, Asia and North America.

Andersen holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Aarhus School of Business and a Bachelor of Business from the South Danish Business School.
