The Entertainer toy shop is set to welcome a number of LEGO® stars over the next few months. Beginning this weekend, you and your LEGO loving little ones can meet the likes of Chase McCain, Lloyd, Kai and LEGO Batman at a number of character meet and greets taking place at store across the UK. As well as getting to meet some LEGO heroes, you’ll also be able to pick up a selection of sets exclusive to The Entertainer, such as the LEGO Star Wars display minifigures and seasonal sets. As well as finding many of the latest LEGO releases in-stores now. There will also be a number of activities based on The LEGO Movie 2, taking place at stores in the future. I turned up at the Bromley (Kent) store yesterday to be greeted by a sign telling me that the event had been cancelled.
On questioning, the lone member of staff explained that the Kai suit hadn’t been delivered! But, that I could, if I wished, travel to nearby Orpington where Kai was meeting visitors!
Interestingly, there was not a planned event for Orpington for 12 January. But, as the Bromley store is in a temporary location I wonder whether a manager took the decision not to use Bromley?
On further questioning the staff member explained that there were no store exclusives, no polybags and no sets from the forthcoming Lego Movie 2.
So, an all-round, good old fashioned cock-up! Happy Days!
