For a couple of years now, Chronicle Books have been creating a range of unique LEGO® books, stationery and puzzles. Their latest release is due in a few weeks’ time and here’s an early look at the LEGO Build Every Day Book. The book is filled with various bite-sized LEGO lessons from Master Model Builder Alec Posta. Now the name might not ring any bells but I’m sure you’ve seen Alex in action as his amazing LEGO creations have been taking TikTok by storm. Alex works at the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Arizona. So his LEGO credentials are pretty strong and put him in a prime position to share his building knowledge.

The book is a little hard to place, it’s not your usual LEGO book offering, so it does include any physical LEGO elements or have the usual bright and colourful illustration in it, instead it’s aimed more toward AFOLs. From my time working in various bookstores, I’d class it as a self-help book but obviously with a light-hearted twist to it. Each chapter focuses on a different activity or way to use LEGO bricks. These are fairly generic and offer minor instruction. Instead, the book is a means to inspire you to get creative and take time out of your busy life to do so. It also offers a little knowledge about certain terms used in the LEGO community and how this can inspire your approach to building with LEGO bricks.
The book is presented in a fun and unique way with each chapter preceded by a colourful title page all using LEGO elements as inspiration. As mentioned this is a book aimed more toward older LEGO fans and it’s the perfect sort of book to give to LEGO fans, especially those you find it tricky to buy LEGO related gifts for. The LEGO Build Every Day book will be published on May 26th in the UK and May 17th in the US.
A great companion piece for the LEGO Build Every Day Book is the LEGO Master Builder Notebook. This LEGO branded book is a great way to plan your next LEGO creation. With pages perfect for plotting builds as well as ways to track your progress and gain inspiration as well. It’s actually quite useful for helping to plan a simple concept for a build.
