LEGO At San Diego Comic-Con 2017

This years Comic-Con is fast approaching and the LEGO Group will be there is force with a number of panels, exclusive give-away and products reveals across the events four day schedule. Much of the LEGO showing at this years Comic-Con will be a joint venture between LEGO and Warner Bros. with Cartoon Network’s Unikitty, WB Animations The LEGO NINJAGO Movie and TT Games LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 all getting their own panels. Those attending the Unikitty! panel will get to see the first episode of this The LEGO Movie spin-off. Over at The LEGO NINJAGO Movie panel, attendees will receive an exclusive, movie-themed giveaway. And for an hour each day during the convention, fans looking for a good stretch before standing in their next line can head to the lawn at the Omni Hotel to participate in “NINJOGA,” a tai chi/yoga-like workout for the ninja in everyone.

There will also be a number of SDCC exclusive sets available each day including Marvel and DC Comics BrickHeadz, plus expect to see a number of unique LEGO Big Builds unveiled along with a product reveal or two. San Diego Comic-Con takes place between June 20th – June 23rd.

Thursday 20th –  Unikitty! Episode Premiere and Q&A

Your favorite character from The LEGO Movie now has her own show! Journey to a joyous kingdom full of sparkle matter, happy thoughts, and the occasional rage-out in Unikitty!, an all-new animated series. As ruler of the kingdom, Unikitty has busy days full of royal responsibilities. Unikitty is most interested in making sure everyone is happy and ridding the kingdom of negativity, but don’t misunderstand her optimism-she is one kitty not to be crossed. While she may be full of boundless energy and creativity, Unikitty is a force to be reckoned with if anyone gets in the way of spreading her positive vibes, especially if anyone makes her little brother and best friend, Puppycorn, sad. Also living in the castle are Dr. Fox, the resident scientist, and Unikitty’s trusty bodyguard, Hawkodile. Producers and members of the voice cast will give a sneak peek at this new series and explain how Unikitty and her friends will make sure that every day is the happiest and most creative ever! Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Unikitty! is coming soon to Cartoon Network.

Thursday 20th – The LEGO NINJAGO Movie

In this big screen NINJAGO adventure, the battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, a.k.a. the Green Ninja (Dave Franco), along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu (Jackie Chan), as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon (Justin Theroux), the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power of Spinjitzu.

Saturday 22nd – LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2: Meet the Talent Behind the Video Game

The team behind the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 videogame-including Arthur Parsons (head of design, TT Games), Bill Rosemann (executive creative director, Marvel Games), Justin Ramsden(designer, LEGO), Kurt Busiek (comics writer, Avengers Forever), and Dan Veesenmeyer (comic content artist, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers)-offer an inside look at this all-new original adventure, the sequel to the smash hit LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Moderated by Marvel’s Ryan Penagos (vice president and executive editor, Marvel Digital), this celebration of the Marvel Universe will provide fans with a first look at a new game trailer, new character and artwork reveals, and exclusive audience giveaways. Bringing together iconic Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains from different eras and realities, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 pits players against the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror in an epic cosmic battle across the expansive Open Hub World of Chronopolis. The game will be released on November 14.
