Disney are holding their fan event, D23 Expo over in Anaheim Convention Center in California. Although most of the big LEGO reveals are being held for San Diego Comic-Con next week, there are a few LEGO big builds on show, along with LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 playable on the show floor and the announcement of a LEGO Marvel Super Heroes animated special. Big builds include a few old favourites including Buzz and Woody from Toy Story along with a great new Spider-Man build.
During a D23 panel it was revealed that there is an LEGO animated special in the works called LEGO Marvel Super Heroes – Guardians of the Galaxy: The Thanos Threat. When Thanos, Ronan, Nebula and the Ravagers seek to possess the Build Stone, a powerful and creative relic, the fate of the universe depends on the Guardians of the Galaxy to protect it. Although how it’s yet to be revealed how it will be released, expect it to be shown on Disney XD or via the LEGO YouTube channel as the LEGO Disney Frozen special, Northern Lights.
