Happy 60th Anniversary To The LEGO Brick

At this very moment 60 years ago, the LEGO® Brick was officially born. At 13:58 on January 28th 1958 the iconic design of the LEGO brick was patented in Denmark. If lasting 60 years wasn’t impressive enough, those very first bricks produced 60 years ago are still compatible with those you can buy today, how many other toys can boast of that achievement. Although these last 60 years haven’t been plain sailing for LEGO, their core values have always remained the same – only the best is good enough. To really appreciate what the LEGO brand means to so many people across the world, watch this sweet animated short produced by LEGO a few years ago, it’s message remains as relevant today as the LEGO brand itself does. So raise a glass, break out those bricks and join us in wishing the LEGO brick – a very happy 60th anniversary, may your creativity spark many more imaginations to come.
