One such exhibition is The Great Brick Safari, a interactive animal themed collection, filled with brick-built animals. The Great Brick Safari will soon be heading to one of the UK’s most iconic zoos, as Twycross Zoo will soon play host to a really wild bunch of LEGO builds. Even more exciting for us it’s coming to BricksFanz home county of Leicestershire. So we’ll been donning our jungle suits and heading to Twycross Zoo, once the event begins on October 20th. More details below.

A Great Brick Safari At Twycross

From 20th October to 7th January, Twycross Zoo will host the world famous Great Brick Safari, a first for a Midlands-based zoo. Families and LEGO® brick-lovers alike are invited to explore the interactive safari with over 70 life-sized LEGO brick animals, showcasing 27 different species. Professional LEGO brick builders, Bright Bricks, used 882,339 LEGO bricks to make the incredible sculptures. Among them you’ll find a four metre tall elephant named Earl Grey, a roaring Bengal tiger and a majestic lion with his playful cubs.

Adding to all there is to see and do at Twycross Zoo, this fantastic visitor experience is included in the price of your zoo admission, and provides guests the chance to take part in a host of extra activities too.
Little ones can enjoy the Safari Spotters Trail and find all the LEGO brick animals from a panda to penguin, and even take home a certificate showcasing all their hard work.

Parents can enjoy a coffee and cake in the Explorer Café, while kids play in the Brick Pit and let their imaginations run wild as they build their own animal. Plus for a small fee, guests can even build and take home their very own LEGO brick animal.
Capture great memories with a selfie in the unique LEGO brick Safari Jeep and don’t forget to explore the rest of the zoo, home to over 500 animals of 125 different species from all around the world.

Karen Clarke, Chief Operating Officer at Twycross Zoo, said: “We’re really looking forward to hosting the Great Brick Safari, which promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family to enjoy. It’s a fun and engaging way of showcasing some of our amazing species, whilst welcoming some wonderful new animals to the zoo.”

We are always looking for ways to involve our guests and provide the best experience we can when they visit the zoo. The Great Brick Safari is a great opportunity for us to offer our guests a unique interactive experience, whilst making everlasting family memories.”
