THE LEGOLAND® WINDSOR RESORT CELEBRATES FIRST BIRTHDAY OF LEGO® MYTHICA WITH THE LAUNCH OF THE FIRST EVER LEGO® MYTHICA PLAYSET

May 2022: To celebrate the first birthday of LEGO® MYTHICA: World of Mythical Creatures at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, an exclusive new LEGO® MYTHICA playset has launched, giving families and fans the chance to build their favourite mythical theme park attraction, in their own home.

LEGO fans will now be able to build the enchanted world of LEGO MYTHICA: World of Mythical Creatures with the brand-new LEGO MYTHICA playset – a celebration of the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort’s newest themed land. The LEGO MYTHICA construction set (40556) will bring the magic of this enchanted world of LEGO MYTHICA from the theme park and into family’s homes.

LEGO MYTHICA is a world that exists in a parallel universe where LEGO creations come to life. Join Bobs as he travels through the portal and enlists Maximus the Sky Lion to help him find his missing wing. The playset includes some of the epic features of the land including Maximus the Sky Lion and lead guardian with posable wings, mouth and head standing at 10cm tall. There’s also the portal and entrance to the world of LEGO MYTHICA, a Venus flytrap, Bobs the colourful baby Alicorn and two Minifigure children.

The hotly anticipated new LEGO MYTHICA playset will be exclusively available to purchase from the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and other LEGOLAND Parks and Discovery Centre’s from 1 June 2022. It’s been an epic first year for the Resort’s multi million pounds land since it first opened at LEGOLAND Windsor last year. Speaking about the new LEGO playset Marianne McGoldrick LEGOLAND Windsor Marketing Director said: “LEGO® MYTHICA: World of Mythical Creatures has had the most overwhelming response from our guests, many of whom now praise the land as their most loved part of the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort. We’re so excited to see the truly epic world of LEGO MYTHICA brought to life in its own LEGO playset. Now our guests will be able to visit the Resort to see our magnificent mythical creatures, take flight on our flying theatre ride and continue building the MYTHICA fun in their own home.”

LEGO MYTHICA: World of Mythical Creatures is home to the UK’s first flying theatre ride Flight of The Sky Lion, thrilling rides like Hydra’s Challenge and Fire and Ice Freefall, as well as experiences such as the Create Creation and an adventure play area, Lava Dragon Play. The latest addition in LEGO MYTHICA is a newly opened, enchanting new walk-through attraction, The Magical Forest. Immersing children and their parents in a mysterious woodland, they will embark on an adventure to get imaginations racing. The Magical Forest features a myriad of new weird and wonderful creature models and incredible habitats built by expert Model Makers using more than 80,000 LEGO bricks.
