Countdown To Skywalker Saga – Calling The Clones

With LEGO® Star Wars: The Skywalker just days away, the journey to get there became a long time ago with LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game. It was followed up by The Original Trilogy and The Complete Saga. TT Games would take a break from a galaxy far, far away for a couple of years where they expanded the LEGO Games slate to include LEGO Indiana Jones, LEGO Harry Potter and LEGO Batman, they even helped to co-develop LEGO Rock Band. In 2011, a new LEGO Star Wars game was released. LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars was inspired by the Clone Wars movie and a number of episodes from the animated TV show. I also connected to the live-action movies, with the opening level being inspired by the Arena Battle from Attack of the Clones.

With every new LEGO title, TT Games added new features, gameplay and improvements, for The Clone Wars players could command armies in battle levels as well as swap to completely different areas of the story using Story Swap. The game included over 115 characters to play with, some of whom were not available as physical minifigures in the LEGO Star Wars sets. The game didn’t have the same impact as previous LEGO titles but did help to expand the franchise.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released on April 5th and is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Nintendo Switch and PC.
