The National Space Centre is the place to be this weekend as members of the Brickish Association descend upon Leicester Brickish Weekend. This Saturday and Sunday visitors to the Space Centre can immerse themselves in one of the largest displays of LEGO creations in the UK. Members of the Brickish Association will be on hand to show off their amazing MOCs, budding builders can help create the famous Fairy Bricks mosaic and you’ll also be able to track down the LEGO® Treasure Trail for a chance to bag some LEGO Star Wars goodies. Plus on Saturday evening, once the daytime activities are over, spend the evening with LEGO Batman during an exclusive screening of The LEGO Batman Movie in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium. Learn more about both events over on the National Space Centre website. For those travelling, Leicester is currently not too badly affected by the snow, there is a light coating with more expected today. Depending on how you get to Leicester, due to last weeks explosion, part of Hinckley Road between King Richards Road and Woodville Road is currently closed in both directions, with diversions in place. The actual event at the Space Centre, all takes place inside so you’ll be nice, warm surrounded by LEGO and away from the cold.
