The Build

As with most LEGO BrickHeadz, both the Bride and Groom sets, are all based around a similar core design. A series of special 1x2x2 are combined with System bricks to create a stylised character. They are then adorned by various elements to create a series of different characters. What is a little different with these BrickHeadz are the ability to customise them in various ways. This includes the ability to change skin colour, hair colour and add accessories. This is similar to the Go Brick Me set released back in 2018. Although clothing choices are obviously themed around wedding attire.

The instructions make it easy enough to choose the correct appearance you want to achieve, as mentioned above this includes three skin tones and three hair colours on both characters. For the groom you can customise facial hair, add a top hat and and even change the colour of the lapel flower plus you can choose to have either a blue or black suit.

For the bride, you can also customised her with different floral accessories on her dress, head dress and flower bouquet. Although her dress can’t be switched up like the groom’s suit, there is still enough ways to make it a little different. Both the groom and bride each contain a uniquely printed element for each set, these include a shirt for the groom and embroiled detail on the brides dress. Both the bride and groom can also have glasses added to their looks.

Overall

I’ve always enjoyed BrickHeadz and I do like it when LEGO release sets which can be used to celebrate special events like Birthdays or indeed a wedding. Past sets have been criticised for only including a male and female couple, but with these sets being sold separately, that isn’t a problem. I can still seeing people complain about the lack of outfit choices for the bride, or that there is no red hair options etc. But for a set which cost only a little more than a single BrickHeadz set, you can getting almost double the elements and you can alway use the instructions to add new colours to really make the bride and groom BrickHeadz your own. Even if you aren’t a fan of BrickHeadz, these sets offer a great selection of parts for the price. Both sets, along with Chinese New Year Lucky Cat and Valentine’s Bear are available now from LEGO stores and online.
