Big Ideas: LEGO Ideas Projects Showcase

It’s time for another showcase of some of the cool and interesting projects currently vying for votes on LEGO® Ideas. The platform continues to be a source of some impressive build skills and has given us an equally impressive selection of sets, in recent months those have included the SeinfeldMedieval Blacksmith and the Grand Piano. With plenty more sets still to come! So it’s once again time to showcase some of my favourite Ideas projects, which deserve to be highlighted. If you like what you see, follow the links and get voting. If a project reaches the magic number of 10,000 votes it could become a brand new LEGO set. There are also various stages of vote thresholds, which activates expended time which projects can remain active on LEGO Ideas. Giving them a better chance of getting to 10k. So let’s take a look at some of my favourite LEGO Ideas projects this month.

Gremlins

Gremlins is one of many 80s classic movies as well as being the perfect blend of scary and funny. It’s already made a rather brief LEGO appearance thanks to LEGO Dimensions. Where two rather cool Minifigures were part of a Team Pack, these act as inspiration for an incredible set featuring Peltzer’s house. The details found in this build are amazing and it would make a great Halloween/Christmas set and the perfect companion to the upcoming Home Alone set.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine – The 99th Precinct

As we bid a fond farewell to the 99, their base of operations and shenanigans has been transformed into a brick-built marvel. In a similar style to the various sets based on TV shows, the 99th Precinct is a snapshot of the show’s location in a single set. A set filled with plenty of Easter Eggs connected to various episodes of the show. I particularly like the Minifigures.

Golden Clifftop Temple

I recently featured this Ghost of Tsushima-inspired build in Amazing MOCs so I was delighted to see it appear on Ideas. The setting is inspired by an ancient Japanese temple nestled atop a mountain. As the lone samurai tackles the perilous path, he is surrounded by inspiring scenery. The use of elements to create the various textures is great.

LEGO Koala

I’m liking the various brick-built models, which are more skewed towards display than play and this is very much in that realm. The koala is a unique looking creature and this build captures that perfectly. I especially like how elements have been used to create the koala’s furry coat.

Wild West Mine

The Wild West is a great era, and one which hasn’t been visited by LEGO sets in a long time. This project nicely mixes the wildness of the wild, with the modern-day fun of a roller coaster. The result is a great-looking build, full of fun features and something which looks great fun to play with.

WILD LEEKS

Don’t forget you can still support my Ideas project, inspired by BricksFanz 2021 April Fool’s Day feature. Wild Leeks could be a tasty addition to the LEGO Ideas range.
