Build LEGO® models for a living! The LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort is searching for a new Model Maker

For the first time in 3 years the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort is hiring for the coveted position of a LEGOLAND Model Maker, a dream job for LEGO® fans across the world.  The job is a full-time permanent role (averaging 37.5 hours a week) meaning the successful applicant will be building LEGO models for a living!

The Model Maker will join the team responsible for designing, building and maintaining the thousands of LEGO models across the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort which is home to over 90 million LEGO bricks. The lucky candidate will be responsible for maintaining the spooky new LEGO models in The Haunted House Monster Party ride opening in spring 2019, including LEGO Gargoyles and LEGO brick Vampires. Alongside models from across the Resort, including a 6 metre tall LEGO brick Pharaoh, the tiny 7cm long LEGO ladybirds in the LEGOLAND Hotel and the LEGO landmarks in the world famous Miniland.

The candidate will join a team of six Model Makers, who are based in the heart of the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort theme park in the Model Makers Studio (pictured).

Wannabe Model Makers will need design based experience, with the Resort looking for applicants who have; ‘an ability to take on challenges, use their own initiative, be safety conscious and have good communication skills’.

Applicants fortunate enough to make the shortlist will experience an interview like no other. Candidates will be tasked with taking part in a ‘Brick-off’ style assessment, with independent LEGO building challenges. To celebrate the launch of the new Haunted House Monster Party ride in 2019, candidates will be tasked to create a spooky themed LEGO model, which will then be judged alongside their fellow applicants creations before a final decision is made on who has been successful.

And if candidates didn’t need another reason to apply, the chosen applicant will receive an amazing 40% off LEGO.
