A new LEGO® AR experience has been demonstrated during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote. During the event, which took place in San Francisco earlier today, the new Augmented Reality experience allows you to scan a real world LEGO set and then add additional elements, sets and characters, all of which bring the set to life in your Apple device. This new experience can also be played by up to four devices, all of which can interactive with the original scanned set. It’s been developed by the LEGO Group using ARKit 2 and should arrive on iOS devices later this year. This is the only AR experience that LEGO have created, recently the ability to bring sets to life was added to the Argos iOS app, there’s also the AR Studio and a unique AR experience is expected to arrive on Android devices very soon.
