LEGO® Ideas has opened a fan vote to help decide an upcoming LEGO BrickHeadz set. There are four choices including Star Wars, Lilo & Stitch and Minecraft. All of these IPs are currently already licensed by LEGO, the final choice is Jaws. Which means the LEGO Group already have the license to create LEGO products based on the iconic 1975 classic. So could we be getting set based on Jaws at some point in 2021? Now LEGO Creator Expert has been rebranded to 18+, the scope of sets the line can feature has greatly expanded and would be perfect for a set based on Jaws. The UK certification for Jaws is 12A, so no more violent or scary than other licensed themes such as 1989 Batman, Star Wars or Stranger Things.
But what could a LEGO Jaws set be? The obvious choice is the Orca fishing boat with Minifigures of Brody, Quint and Hopper, plus Bruce the shark. There could also be set featuring a large-scale buildable shark. Less exciting could be a LEGO ART set. Let’s hope Jaws will be getting the LEGO treatment next year, be it a BrickHeadz set or something much more exciting. Y’all know me. Know how I earn a livin’. I’ll catch this bird for you, but it ain’t gonna be easy. Bad fish. Not like going down to the pond and chasing bluegills and tommycocks. This shark, swallow you whole. No shakin’, no tenderizin’, down you go. And we gotta do it quick, that’ll bring back your tourists, put all your businesses on a payin’ basis. But it’s not gonna be pleasant. I value my neck a lot more than three thousand bucks, chief. I’ll find him for three, but I’ll catch him, and kill him, for ten. But you’ve gotta make up your minds. If you want to stay alive, then ante up. If you want to play it cheap, be on welfare the whole winter. I don’t want no volunteers, I don’t want no mates, there’s too many captains on this island. Ten thousand dollars for me by myself. For that you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing….
