This month the LEGO Group released the first ever LEGO® elements to be produced from sustainable plastic made from sugar cane. The new plants from plants pieces were given away in a special promotional set and will soon start appearing in LEGO sets, including an upcoming exclusive LEGO Creator set. Way before these landmark new LEGO pieces arrived, LEGO ask a number of builders across the world to create an amazing build, which incorporated the new elements. They asked LUGs to submit names for this project and then chose 15 builders from around the world to participate. Each builder was sent some of the Plants From Plants sets and some other bricks, then told to create their take on a sustainable super hero like Plantus Maximus. The results have an incredible array of fantastic foliaged MOCs. You can check out some of the great builds below and head over to the Plants From Plants microsite to see them all and learn more about the new sustainable LEGO elements.
