700,000 Brick Sleigh Arrives At LEGOLAND Windsor

It’s December 1st and the festive cheer is in full swing at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort as a giant LEGO® sleigh, complete with brick-built Father Christmas and his eight life-sized reindeer, has landed at the park today, marking the beginning of the Resort’s Christmas festivities. On display at The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort for the first ever time, this impressive LEGO Big Build measures 15m long contains over 700,000 LEGO bricks and took over a month to build. The spectacular sleigh model, loaded with LEGO presents, weighs 2,500kg, that’s the equivalent of 500 turkeys or more than 5,000 Christmas puddings! It will welcome guests to this month’s Christmas at LEGOLAND event as they enter the Park.

The sleigh isn’t the only fun to be had at LEGOLAND Windsor this Christmas. There is lots of festive fun to be had including:

  • A selection of rides and attractions including LEGO® NINJAGO® The Ride
  • Meeting Father Christmas (must be pre-booked)
  • Take part in our LEGO scavenger hunt
  • Build a LEGO snowflake and take it home

Snow joke! Giant LEGO® sleigh lands at The LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort

Friday 1st December: A giant LEGO® sleigh, complete with Father Christmas and his eight life-sized reindeer, flew into The LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort today, marking the beginning of the Resort’s Christmas festivities.

On display at The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort for the first ever time, the impressive 15m long model is built from 700,000 LEGO bricks and took over a month to build. The spectacular sleigh model, loaded with LEGO presents, weighs 2,500kg – the equivalent of 500 turkeys or more than 5,000 Christmas puddings! It will welcome guests to this month’s Christmas at LEGOLAND event as they enter the Park.

Lauren Moss, Senior PR Manager at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort says: “The arrival of the LEGO Father Christmas and his reindeers at the Resort officially signals the start of our Christmas event. It’s a truly magical model and we can’t wait to see the reactions of our guests when they visit us this December.”

The festive new addition will join over 30 rides and attractions*, LEGO Christmas themed activities, music and magic set to delight families on select dates throughout December (2-3, 9-10 and 16-24 December).

Also in the park will be an enchanted Christmas Kingdom where little ones will meet Father Christmas in his magical grotto and receive a LEGO® Christmas gift. In Miniland, Christmas will come to life with miniature festive additions to London and Scotland, from a bustling LEGO Christmas market in Covent Garden to Father Christmas flying over Big Ben in his sleigh.

Tickets for LEGOLAND at Christmas must be pre booked online in advance at www.legoland.co.uk and are priced at £35 per person.
